She’s talking about this. It’s from this book, A New Turn in the South: Southern Flavors Reinvented for Your Kitchen by Hugh Acheson, which you should all go get since it’s awesome. Here’s the full recipe in something called Garden and Gun.
Ingredients: bourbon, ice, peach, soda water, ginger simple syrup (water, fresh grated ginger, turbinado sugar)
Basically, you fill up a glass— it says a highball glass, but I used an Old Fashioned glass— with ice cubes to the top, add 3 oz. of bourbon (I’ve used Breaking & Entering and Bulleit, both of which worked well, but whatever you like, I guess), add a tablespoon of ginger simple syrup (boil a cup of water with a half pound of fresh grated ginger and a cup of turbinado sugar), stir, add 2 oz. of soda water and some sliced peaches, stir some more, and enjoy.
